Jared Shwartz

Who are you?

I am an attorney at Cohen and Wolf, P.C., occasional sous-chef in my own house, and member of the WFM Board!

Why are you a part of the local food community?

It’s important to support the hard work and dedication of our local farmers and their commitment to providing us with fresh, locally grown products.  By supporting our local food community, we promote the importance of eating healthy and ensure that our community is self-sustaining.

Why do you support WFM?

The Westport Farmers’ Market is more than just a place to find locally grown and fresh food—it brings together our community as a whole.  Whether you’re a first-time shopper or a ‘regular,’ or whether you are looking to stock your whole kitchen or just sample some of the goodies prepared by local vendors, WFM has something for everyone.

What’s the freshest thing in your kitchen right now?

Bananas.  We never run low on those in my house.

If you could become a vegetable, which would you choose?

Jalapeno.  For no other reason than the fact that it’s one of my favorite foods to eat
